Using evidence based best practice, you will deliver person-centred nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team.You will work across a rotating fortnightly roster which includes both day and night shifts and provide clinical and team leadership, supervision and support for less experienced clinicians and support workers to achieve people focused quality care in line with the ARRCS mission.Our Pulkapulkka Kari Flexible Aged Care facility - or PPK, as it is affectionately known offers a flexible aged care program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and those who are identified as members of the community. We have 25 beds in 15 single or double rooms. You’ll hear a lot of happy conversation, singing and laughter at PPK Tennant Creek, with staff taking the time to sit down and yarn. Skills and experienceCurrent AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.Diploma of NursingAppropriate working rights for Australia.Ability to liaise with a care team and to provide coordinated care.Knowledge of contemporary nursing practice.Demonstrated understanding of resident centred and residential based care services delivery.Knowledge and experience in Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) â desirable however, not essential.Experience working in a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural care team.Knowledge of policy review and implementation for clinical governanceExperienced in effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including intermediate computer skills as well as skills in automated technologyMust have a current Flu Vaccination, Immunisation History including COVID, National Police Check, First Aid Certificate, NT OCHRE card and NT Drivers’ License or a willingness to obtain prior to commencing.
