About the role
We have a new opportunity for experienced Maintenance to join our Old Timers Aged Care facility located in Alice Springs, NT. This busy and rewarding role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis of 38 hours per week.
The Maintenance Officer undertakes a range of generalist handy person duties to keep our facilities in the best condition by doing various odd jobs as directed by the Facility / Service Manager. Being well-organised with strong general repair skills you will have experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment including basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or air-conditioning systems.
The Maintenance Officer will have a keen eye for detail, will be physically fit and able to attend to repair tasks at the interior or exterior of the facility to ensure the residents in our care have items attended to promptly.
This opportunity will suit a committed person who has care and compassion and enjoys interacting with our aged care residents. As the ideal candidate, you will have previous experience in a maintenance / handy man capacity, you will be a literal thinker, able to problem solve and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
